लोलो (hot / गरम) – रेयड़ (cold / ठंडा)
चाहा दो लोलो गी नुवे रे मज़ा:|
Tea is enjoyed best when it is hot.
चाय को गर्म ही पीने में मज़ा है |चाहा: दो रेयड़ जाना |
Tea has cooled down. / Tea is cold.
चाय ठंडी हो गयी है |
रबंग (cold weather / ठंड) – बलबल (hot weather / गर्मी )
इसिंग दो बहुत रबंग तना |
It’s very cold today.
आज बहुत ठण्ड है |होला दो मुरुक बलबल ताइना |
It was very hot (weather) yesterday.
कल बहुत गर्मी थी |
सितुम (sunlight / धूप ) – उम्बुल ( shade / छावों )
सितुम रे आलोम दुबा |
Don’t sit in the (strong) sunlight.
धूप में मत बैठो / बैठिये |जु हेनता उम्बुल रे दुब-में |
Note: उम्बुल also means shadow/परछाईं .
Go and sit there in the shade.
वहां जाकर कर छाओं में बैठो / बैठिये |
Word meaning: दुब – to sit / घर | आलोम – Don’t / मत
सिंगी (day / धूप ) – अयुब (night / रात )
बहालेन सिंगी रे गी हिजु लेनाय |
Bahalen visited us (came ) during the day.
बहालेन दिन में ही आयी थी |अयुब जेतकोम आलोम सेना, ओड़आ: रे ताइन में |
Word meaning: ओड़आ: – Home / घर | आलोम – Don’t / मत
Don’t go anywhere at night, stay at home.
रात को कहीं मत जाना / जाइये, घर पर रहना / रहिये |
चेतान (up or upstairs / उपर) – लतार (down or downstairs / नीचे )
नेया के कटिकन चेतान उठाए-में |
Hold this a little/bit up.
इसे थोड़ा ऊपर उठाए रहो/रहिये |कीतब के लतार-रे अलोम दोहो-या |
Word meaning: कटिकन – Little / थोड़ा | आलोम – Don’t / मत | दोहो – to keep / रखना
Don’t keep the book down.
