  • White – पुन्डी – सफ़ेद

  • Black – हेनदे – काला

  • Red – आरअ: – लाल

  • Green – हरियर – हरा

  • Yellow – ससंगअ – पीला*

  • Blue – सिरमाअ – नीला*

* Analysis/Notes 

1. ससंग means Turmeric (हल्दी in Hindi) which is yellow in color. That’s where the word ‘ससंगअ’ has been derived from. (हल्दी का रंग- ससंगअ)

2.सिरमा means Sky (आसमान  in Hindi) which appears blue in cThat’s Thats where the word ‘सिरमाअ’ has been derived from. (आसमान का रंग – ‘सिरमाअ’)

3. Some relevant words/phrases related to color

  • पुन्डी झूला – White Shirt – सफ़ेद शर्ट

  • हेनदे पेनटे – Black Trousers – काला पेंट / काली पतलून

  • आरअ: साड़ी – Red Saree – लाल साड़ी

  • हरियर खारपा – Green Slippers – हरी चप्पल
